Caliber guides
Short answers we give at the desk. Not ballistic gospel — just what people ask before they buy a box.
9mm — FMJ vs JHP
FMJ for range and training. JHP for defensive loads. We stock both; JHP has state blocks. If you just need rounds downrange, buy the house 115gr FMJ or the case.
.223 Rem vs 5.56 NATO
Most modern AR-pattern rifles marked 5.56 can shoot .223. Do not assume a .223-only chamber is happy with full-pressure 5.56. Green tip (M855-style) is restricted in some states on our list.
12 gauge — target, buck, slug
#7.5 target for clays. 00 buck for defensive sleeves (state checks apply). Rifled slugs for deer where shotgun-only rules apply. Hull type matters if you reload.
.22 LR — plinking vs match
Mini-Mags and Super Extra for volume. Tenex when the lot matters. Rimfire duds happen — buy a little extra for a match day.
Reloading aisle
Primers and powder ship hazmat ground, not with each other in the same carton on our floor. Dies and brass are standard ground. Read the SKU page before you add both to one cart.
