Yorimichi means the detour — the way round that turns out to be the point. Two mornings from the road: Fushimi Inari before the crowds, and Fuji from Kawaguchiko at first light.

Twelve, at most

Small enough for one table at dinner and one row at the sushi counter. Your tour leader is with you from Changi to Changi; in Kyoto and Hiroshima a licensed local guide joins for the day.

Everything in the price

Return flights, every train including reserved Shinkansen seats, every hotel and ryokan, every breakfast, every entry on the itinerary. The only extras are lunches, your insurance, and whatever you buy in Nishiki market.

Early starts, free afternoons

We reach the headline temples when the gates open and leave as the coaches arrive. Most afternoons are yours, with a list from the guide and a phone number that answers.
